Guilds versus Guilds - Season 2 Talk & Update

Hi everybody,

as stated yesterday, season 1 is now over and we will prepare the server for a season 2, not only for Guilds versus Guilds but for all PvP activities. (Rewards will be distributed before season 2 starts)
Here, I would like to discuss with you about GvG and changes we have in mind and see with you if you might have suggestions and ideas to improve the system.

Season 2 planned changes:

  • Fixed amount of session (1 month = 12 session so probably around 24 - 36 sessions)
  • IP restriction under GvG aura (to avoid reroll abuse)
  • Session points reworks 
  • Score computation rework
  • Headquarters change

 

For the moment, those are the changes we have planned to make but maybe new one will come during the development process. Your ideas and suggestions are more than welcome because this time, we will probably add a price pool and exclusives rewards. Restrictions per HQ will remain and be adapted during the season to the current population.

Wednesday 23 December 9pm (GMT+1), there will be a GvG test session with new scoring system. Scoring will be way more impacted by session points than before.
We will reset all GvG score to make this as clean as possible and announce later the season 2, price pool (real money will be rewared), season length, etc.

  • We have fixed the issue with scoring (just a small miss in loading configuration file)
  • Increase the headquarter.score.contest.maxPoints = 5 -> 10
  • headquarter.score.capture.maxPoints = 5 -> 10
  • Increase radius of HQ restriction & HQ Aura to remove ability to send players after they died
  • No duel reward in GvG Aura

  • Edit of ranking page https://wlp.gg/ranking you will be able to follow the session statut when it is open
  • session.ELO.coefMul = "50" -> 40 (That's the ratio that impact the movement of score, it should increase and decrease a bit slower)
  • session.playerReward.guildResults.numItemsByPoint = 1 -> 1.2 (PvP token per session points)

  • session.ELO.scaleFactor = 0 -> 0.3 (Score is reduced proportionally to player amount)

Development of restriction by IP in GvG aura & score penalty for inactive guilds is in process

  • Guilds player can only have 1 active player in GvG aura
  • Inactive Guilds (a guild that have participated at least once, will now get a penalty if they don't participate)
